שָׁמַ֥עְנוּ גְאוֹן־מוֹאָ֖ב גֵּ֣א מְאֹ֑ד גַּאֲוָת֧וֹ וּגְאוֹנ֛וֹ וְעֶבְרָת֖וֹ לֹא־כֵ֥ן בַּדָּֽיו׃ (ס)

[Aber Israel erwidert auf diese Bitte:] Wir haben vernommen den Hochmut Moabs, es überhebt sich sehr, [wir kennen] seinen Übermut, seinen Hochmut, sein Auffahren, seinen grundlosen Stolz.
