וַאֲנִ֤י אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ לְרִ֣יק יָגַ֔עְתִּי לְתֹ֥הוּ וְהֶ֖בֶל כֹּחִ֣י כִלֵּ֑יתִי אָכֵן֙ מִשְׁפָּטִ֣י אֶת־יְהוָ֔ה וּפְעֻלָּתִ֖י אֶת־אֱלֹהָֽי׃
Ich [der Prophet] hatte geglaubt: Für nichts habe ich mich bemüht, für Leeres und Eitles habe ich meine Kraft verzehrt. Aber mein Recht ist bei dem Herrn, und mein Lohn bei meinem Gotte.
